We asked Edie to share her experiences of learning to drive an automatic car with driving lessons in leicester:
It's been a long road, but I'm finally here - I can drive! It all started when I was just a kid, watching my parents go places in our family car. They made it look so effortless and fun, and I knew that one day I wanted to be able to do the same.
At first, learning how to drive was intimidating. There were so many rules and regulations that had to be followed and things that needed to be remembered while behind the wheel. But with enough practice, patience, and determination - it eventually became second nature.
One of the biggest challenges for me was getting used to all of the traffic on the roads. At first it felt like every time I drove somewhere there would be more cars than before! This took some getting used to but eventually all of those extra vehicles became part of my normal routine.
Another difficulty for me was navigating around new areas or cities that I hadn't driven in before. This required a lot of planning ahead as well as paying attention while on the road so that no wrong turns were taken or unexpected delays occurred due to lack of knowledge about an area's layout or street names etc..
But now after months (or years!) of practice driving has become something natural for me - almost like breathing! In fact it has become such an integral part of my life now that without it things would definitely feel strange or incomplete somehow...
As someone who is now comfortable behind the wheel, this journey has been both rewarding and fulfilling for me; although sometimes challenging at times too! So if you're just beginning your own journey towards learning how to drive then don't give up hope - with enough time & dedication you'll get there too!!
